Stuart,

I am now back home in the UK and wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for the most wonderful day birding - I had a fantastic day (Feb 8th if I recall, you picked me up from my friends in Clarkson, Perth).

I was completely enthralled with the birds we saw, the sheer number amazed me, as I remember saying - you can bird for a whole day in the UK and sometimes only see one or two species ! I brought home the tick list and the information you had printed for me and I have been back on the internet to google the birds and the places.

The highlight for me had to be the bee eater, never did I think I would see a bee eater in the wild - and that will stay with me for a long time. My partner is very envious but thrilled that I enjoyed myself and saw so much.

You were excellent company and you worked hard to give me a very informative and interesting day. You knew your stuff and I was very grateful the efforts you went to given I was your only booking that day - my sincere thanks. I have waxed lyrical since coming home about the day and being very privileged to spend the day with your expertise direct from perth zoo ! I wish you every success with your bird tours - you did a fantastic job and I would recommend you without any hesitation. Many thanks indeed Stuart and all the very best for the future.

Sincere regards,
JAN WALKER

Stuart,

Many thanks for taking me around today. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we could not have asked for better weather. Just to report back that I saw 9 new species. They were: black-faced cuckoo shrike, western rosella, Australian ringneck, red-tailed black cockatoo, inland thornbill, red-capped parrot, singing honeyeater, brown honeyeater and rufous whistler.

Although I had seen the 28 before when in Perth, never had recorded it! My favourite sighting was the scarlet robins but had forgotten that I had seen one out east but clearly not so memorably viewed. Both the musk duck and blue-billed ducks I had also seen at Werribee last year.

All in all a good day.

With best wishes.....Robin
